Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant Department as the name reveals, incorporates Ancient ayurvedic texts i.e. Samhitas, Sanskrit language and Siddhantas i.e. Basic Principles of Ayurveda. For understanding any subject in depth, the Basic knowledge is very necessory. Fulfilling this necessity , this department indeed builds the base of Ayurveda. It is rightly said that, “Know Basics-Know Ayurveda & No Basics-No Ayurveda”. Under this deparment,  at UG Level , the following subjects are been taught –

First BAMS

•  Sanskrit
• Padarth Vigyan Evam Ayurved Itihas
• Maulik Siddhant Evam Ashtang Hruday

Second BAMS

• Charak Samhita (Purvarddha)

Third BAMS

• Charak Samhita (Uttararddha)

Apart from this , there is Post Graduation (MD-Ayurved Samhita) Course running since 1994. There are more than 30 Research works are accomplished on various topics so far.

There are various activities conducted under this department of Sanskrit-Samhita-Siddhant like Charak Jayanti Samaroh; Quiz Competition; Shloka Recitation & Contineous Samhita Akhand Pathan. There is departmental Library having 150 Books. Ther are 30 Specimens, 07 Models & 110 Charts for making Teaching-Learning better.

The disciples are facilitated by the Faculties for Shloka Recitation, Reading and Understanding the Commentaries on Ayurvedic Samhitas, Seminars, Presentations, Compilations etc.
